Brewer - Ron Cook

Ron Cook, son of George Ernest Cook founder of the brewery in 1895 on Tidings Hill, is seen here beside the Hopsack. The beer flowed from the boiler to the tank in the brewhouse. The liquid then drained through some plates, flowed over a cooler and into a fermenting tank, leaving behind the hops in the bed of the tank. This photograph was taken in 1974.
