| Bus Driver - John Potts |
 |

John Potts of Stamfordbourne was a driver and conductor for B.K. Jennings of Ashen until his death in 1967. He virtually gave a door to door service picking up villagers at any point along the way, stopping for folk running across fields or popping out from cottage doors. On his way back from trips to the local market towns and London he would often stop the bus to deliver sausages, milk or a loaf of bread to someone who was unable to make the journey. Many school children were transported by him from their village homes to Hedingham school.
